A rare opportunity has become available to shape the future of Vision Australia’s services - by becoming a volunteer member of our Client Reference Group.
We’re looking for people with lived experience of blindness or low vision to hold one of the following portfolios on the group:
- Accessible Information
- Employment
- Education
- Parents of children who are blind or have low vision
- Rural
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
The appointment will be for a three year term, beginning October 2018.
You will join a friendly, diverse and committed group of volunteers who provide input and advice around the interests and needs of the blind and low vision community to our Board of Directors and Leadership Team.
The group meets in person twice a year, and several times through teleconferences.
Each Client Reference Group member has a community or topic area of interest that they provide advice or input on based on their lived experience, and the experience of people who are blind or have low vision in their networks.
