As you may be aware, the Victorian Government has announced COVID-19 restrictions for all local government areas within metropolitan Melbourne, plus the local government area of Mitchell Shire, effective from 11.59pm Wednesday, July 8.

Under these restrictions, residents of these local government areas are only permitted to leave their place of residence for shopping for food and supplies, care and caregiving, exercise, and study or work.

This means residents of these local government areas are currently not permitted to visit any Vision Australia location. Vision Australia is also unable to provide residents of these local government areas with face to face appointments at their home, in the community or any other location.

The Victorian Government has said restrictions will stay in place for at least six weeks, but are open to review. Vision Australia will continue to follow the advice of health authorities through the COVID-19 pandemic.
