He was first appointed to the Board in July 2014, was appointed Deputy Chair in October 2017 and appointed Chair in October 2023.

Associate Professor Julian Rait is a specialist Ophthalmologist and the immediate past Chair of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) Federal Council and the Council of Private Specialist Practice for the Federal AMA. Julian was first appointed to the Board in October 2019, and was elected Deputy Chair in October 2023.
